Fernando Alonso's horrific crash at the 2016 Australian Formula One Grand Prix in Melbourne - the race was temporarily red-flagged. A shaken-up Fernando thankfully walked away with a thumbs-up to the crowd, with his car absolutely destroyed in the process of saving his life. Amazing technology in an amazing sport!
